My name is Meg. I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor. I offer a safe and supportive therapy in confidential settings for individual clients and couples where we can both explore any difficulties, distress which you may be experiencing or even dissatisfaction with life.
I provide emotional support to those who suffer with all types of mental and domestic health distress (depression, anxiety and stress), relationship issues, substance misuse and as a result have lost their self-confidence and self-worth.
My professional experience provided me with an opportunity to build positive and productive relationships with a range of people from different age groups, various backgrounds and with complex needs.
I also offer support and guidance for couples who struggle with everyday stress in their lives which could have negative impacts on their relationship, lack of communication between themselves and a lack of listening and intimacy.
In my practice I use Person-Centred approach which means that my role is to help you reach your authentic self by creating a safe environment for you and to make you feel fully accepted by me. By showing you my empathy, we will explore various aspects of your life and feelings, talking about them freely and openly in a way that is rarely possible with friends or family.
I also use other techniques in my therapy room such as Matryoshka dolls (Russian nesting dolls), emotional cards, stones and other forms of art therapy. I offer also walking therapy in nature which could help you to concentrate and reveal your hidden emotions or problems if you feel it is right for you.

Most of us will encounter problems and difficulties at some point in our lives that leave us feeling emotional exhaustion and despair. In such moments, we are not able to cope alone, that's why we need support. It is completely "natural and human" and we do not need to have a sense of shame asking for help. In today's very overworked and stressful society, more and more of us are under various types of pressure. People from various backgrounds, seek help through counselling that's why equal opportunity is so important to offer the appropriate help for each client according to theirs individual needs.
I will offer you genuine understanding and unconditional acceptance. My role is to guide and support you to be able to reach your authentic self by creating a safe environment for you. By showing you my empathy, we will explore various aspects of your life and feelings and through talking, questioning and exchanging ideas we will be able to find solutions to your struggles that you face.

What are the forms of payment?
You can either pay by cash at the end of each session with me or I can accept bank transfers as well if it is more convenient for you.
What is the cancellation policy?
You are required to contact me as soon as possible if you are unable to attend to the appointment with at least 24h notice. If you let me know with less than 24h notice you will still be charged the rental fee of the room £10.
Do you offer any discounts?
I offer 10% discounts for:
Young people aged 16-18
Students with proof of ID (NUS, ISIC )
People aged 60+
Unemployed people with proof of income support
